Project Kits to Kids at Bharat Sevashram Sangha Students’ Home, Horekhali, East Medinipur.
A child development project under Rotary TEACH Program was taken up by the club on 5th March 2017 at Bharat Sevashram Sangha Students’ Home, Horekhali, Purba Medinipur. 50 kits containing cotton bed mattress, shataranchi, pillow, bed sheets, mosquito net, school bag with exercise books, pencil box, water bottle, pencil, sharpener, eraser, scale, tooth paste, tooth brush, bath soap, biscuits and chocolates were distributed to the deserving students. 2 to 5 such kits costing Rs. 1,500/- each have been donated by each of our club members. A deep tube well which was constructed at Parbatipur Patit Pabani high school at Horekhali in aid of district grant and contribution by our club members during the last Rotary year was inaugurated on that day. Arrangement was also made for lunch with the ashram students. Students of the ashram and school authority were so happy with the projects and expressed their gratitude to Rotary. 13 members and 1 ann of our club had travelled to Horekhali and enjoyed the service projects and the tour very much. Their hearts were filled by serving the Humanity.
