At the Dawn of Rotary Year 2023-24, I convey my gratitude to all of you for selected me as Club President for the
year 2023-24 and convey my pronam to departed souls who during their life time tried to strengthen the
President Writes….
foundation of our club. IPP Rtn. Goutam Mitra and team did an excellent job during Rotary Year 2022-23. Now it’s time to
continue the legacy of our club. I had to pass through Presidential training as per schedule of district 3291 since last
November, 2022 and thanks to all the members specifically club Mentor and Trainer PP Rtn. Kalyan Bose , we also had a
wonderful COTS cÖwk¶Y for club officers at Club and Zone Level in the month of May ,2023 with publication of Club Officers
Training Manual which were liked by many other rotarians and distributed to many clubs on request. I am overwhelmed
with the response and support from members and the feedback I have received from District Dignitaries, Other rotarians for
Successful Installation Ceremony cÖZ¨q on 2nd July. We did a number of project on that day on Peace Building, Environment,
Literacy Project SwaBikash, Swarna Kana Application Launch, Donation to Bharat Sevashram Sangha, PHF contribution by
PP Gautam Nandi, POLIO FUND contribution by PP Kalyan Bose and PP Gautam Nandi, Flag exchange with clubs. My special
thanks to Club Editor PP Swapan Banerjee for his sincere hard work in publishing Installation Souvenir. I am thankful to all
new members for joining the club and they have been in active mode since joining, attending projects. As proposed we had
monthly seminar on Leadership, successfully engaged family members in our projects, had memorable birthday celebration
of July. In the month of July we did ANNA KANA MIDDAY MEAL Aboe`v our permanent project, Literacy Project- Education kits
distributed to Girl Students of Shyamacharan School and students of Shyamacharan school, attended Condolence meeting
¯§iwYKv In memory of Spouse Late Kana Bose.
This year we have planned to organise Online Swarnakana Interschool Merit Test with App Swarna Kana. App already
launched and registration on the process with school and students. I am hopeful on our success in this grand project on
literacy.
This year RIP (23-24 ) R. Gordon R McInally presented Us a wonderful Theme- Create Hope in the World. I am sure with the
Support of all of you our club will create Hope in the World.

Condolence Meeting
A condolence meeting was convened on 12th February 2017 at Rotary Sadan, Madhyamgram on sad demise of PDG Rtn. Prabir Chakravarti, to pay homage to the departed soul. AG Zone 27 Rtn. Prantik Ghosh, AG Zone 26 Rtn. Kalyan Kr. Bose, PDS Rtn. Tapas Bhattacharya and members of RC Madhymgram Metropolitan were present. May his soul rest in peace
